The Tesoro Outlaw is the company’s first metal detector release since 2004. The outlaw brings back memories of the old Bandido II, but adds much more depth performance and new extra features such as Low Noise Circuitry. It also offers great bang for your buck with its standard bundle of 3 different search coils to address all treasure hunting requirements one can imagine. The Outlaws 10.6 kHz is an excellent middle range frequency ideal for picking up coins and jewelry, but also quite suitable for relic hunting.
A large Ground Balance turn knob on the left side of the control box can be adjusted to filter out ground minerals in both All Metal and Discriminate modes. Threshold settings can be manually controlled or tuned automatically via the Auto mode setting or the Retune button.
The Discriminate mode features a full range of elimination options to finely tune your search parameters. A Sensitivity dial lets you set the Outlaw to its maximum depth range. Target identification is audio only and single tone at that.
The Outlaw remains ultra-lightweight at 2.2 lbs and is extremely compact when the 3-piece shaft is disassembled. All three coils are water resistant and can withstand dunking in fresh or salt water. Power comes from a single 9-volt battery.
