To help improve coin hunting success, 4 audio tone IDs are available for easy target separation. Distinct tones for iron and foil; rings and nickels; pull tabs and screw caps; and pennies, silver coins and jewelry enable simple and accurate identification. Audio output can be played through the integrated speaker or headphones via the headphone jack. Typical battery life is between 10 and 20 hours for a single 9-volt battery.
