It uses a high frequency 19 kHz signal to provide great sensitivity to the smallest of gold nuggets. The included 5 inch Double D search coil offers added gold detecting precision and great depth through highly mineralized ground.
A constant readout of ground phase and mineralization gives extensive and accurate information necessary for tuning ground balance in mineralized gold fields. Large Target ID numbers and a corresponding scale make target verification a snap. The Gold Bug also features a VCO mode for enhanced audio signal response.
Separate sensitivity Gain, Threshold and Discrimination levels allow the Gold Bug to adapt to any treasure hunting requirements in widely varying ground conditions.
Activating the Pinpoint mode through the center button on the control panel provides no motion All Metal functionality critical to locating where targets are buried. A numerical depth readout also provides an estimate of how deep coin-sized objects are buried. The center button also activates GROUND GRAB in All Metal mode which automatically matches ground balance settings to the current ground phase measurements.
The Gold Bug has a built-in speaker and integrates both 1/4and 1/8 inch headphone jacks.
