Fisher F70

The Fisher F70 is an outstanding value for an all-around metal detector with as many advanced features as it does. The F70 is the flagship F75’s younger brother and shares many similar designs with the top of the line model in Fisher’s multi-purpose Target ID line. It has a menu driven control interface and is fully adjustable and programmable to your specific treasure hunting requirements. Operating at a relatively high 13 kHz frequency, the F70 is also an ideal gold prospecting machine.

Its large LCD screen displays a prominent Target ID number in the middle as well as other important menu items such as battery levels and ground mineralization levels. A special GROUND GRAB button makes it easy to automatically retune the F70 to constantly changing ground conditions. Ground phase number and DIRT bar graph readout indicate the type and amount of ground minerals respectively, providing the F70 with excellent depth performance in any kind of terrain.

A special Pinpoint mode enables treasure hunters to easily narrow down where a target is buried and also activates a numerical target depth meter.

Up to four distinct audio ID tones are available to choose from in order to improve target recognition and separation. An extra Delta Pitch setting provides changing pitch in the audio signal as the Target ID number increases or decreases, making it easy to check for minute differences in signal response.

The standard search coil measure 9 3/ 4 inches and has an elliptical form factor and can be used in fresh or salt water. The F70 is also extremely cheap to operate lasting up to 40 hours on a set of 4 AA batteries.
