The Garrett Infinium LS is an excellent metal detector for water hunting, prospecting, and relic hunting. It’s fully waterproof up to 200′ deep which allows for deep diving. For land use the Infinium is great at prospecting and finding relics.
Since it is pulse induction it has excellent depth and works very well in mineralized conditions but wouldn’t be ideal for coin shooting. The overall ratings from users were very good with some users even comparing it to much more expensive machines.
Pros:

- Excellent on hot rocks and in highly mineralized conditions
- Excellent depth
Cons:
- Several users complained of a loose stem
- Discrimination not as good as units with multi frequency
