The Minelab E-TRAC delivers top end performance as users report its excellent depth detection and discrimination abilities. With its extensive menu driven control system it provides highly accurate discrimination especially useful in high trash areas. It is able to hold its own alongside other top-of-the-line machines from other manufacturers.
It may appear too advanced to use which have affected some users’ opinions for the machine toward the negative side. It does have options for preset modes but controlling more advanced options can be a difficult learning curve for many. The backlight is also reported to be quite dim and can be difficult to view in certain lighting conditions.
