Penny inside silver – neat metal detecting find

I was in an old school yard when I discovered this neat little find. It was about 8″ deep and when I dug it up I didn’t know what to think. At first I saw the silver shine and thought I had a coin. Then when I wiped the back off it looked like the stainless back of a watch.

After cleaning it up I was pleasantly surprised to find this neat little sterling novelty that says “Keep me and never go broke” with a penny inside. I’m assuming it was made in 1962 since that is the date of the penny and it’s likely they used shiny new coins when they made them. I ‘ll keep it and hopefully never go broke =)
