Garrett AT Pro Review

The Garrett AT Pro is an excellent mid level metal detector. If I could have only one metal detector under $600 the AT pro would be the one. It’s a great land machine and even better for underwater use. The fact that you can discriminate while detecting underwater makes it the perfect choice for beach and river detecting.

The AT Pro is very simple to use and you can pretty much turn it on and start hunting. It has excellent depth capabilities, especially on low conductive targets such as gold rings.

Pros:

  • Easy to use
  • Lightweight
  • Long battery life
  • Great for land and water use
  • Finds gold and low conductive targets very deep

Cons:

  • Earlier models had issues with leaking and circuit problems.
